One of the key tenets of neurology is that play is a vital tool for building better brains. Creativity and cognitive development based on novelty are driven when we play. Unfortunately, most health and fitness clients are rarely open to playing new sports or taking up new activities because they lack the fundamental skills to be successful.
This course is designed to make play more accessible through quickly and easily developing appropriate and trainable skills. Motor learning research has gradually reshaped the way that coaches and athletes/clients work together. In this certification we will review the relevant research from a practical perspective and implement these tools immediately.
The largest portion of this course is devoted to understanding the key sports movement primitives that are seen in high-level performers across all sports. The goal here is to simplify the learning and teaching of sports skills so that in a matter of a few hours of work you can open up a lifetime of new movement and play options for yourself and your clients.
Finally, this certification will focus on INTEGRATING everything you have learned from other courses and experience into the coaching process – expanding the neurocentric coaching perspective beyond simple pain relief into real world technical development.
